Littler Mendelson, the nation's premier employment and labor law firm is seeking a full time Litigation Support Project Manager located in in either its Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC office. With over 1,000 attorneys in 70+ offices, we provide our clients with a full range of services in the area of employment relations. Under the supervision of the Director of Litigation Support Regional Services, the Litigation Support Project Manager is responsible for the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Develops and implements eDiscovery project plans to address the identification, collection, review, analysis, and production of evidence in administrative and litigation matters. •Ensures internal case teams, eDiscovery Counsel and Department Directors receive: ?Timely and accurate cost estimates and statements of work based on litigation team objectives and deadlines. ?Timely assistance with eDiscovery search projects, including drafting and testing search terms, and preparing search term analysis reports. ?Timely support for managed review projects, ensuring cost-efficiencies aligned with litigation team objectives and deadlines. ?Timely and accurate project reports based on litigation team objectives and deadlines.
•Ensures compliance with Litigation Support and eDiscovery best practices, including pre-review quality assurance protocols, managed review workflows, pre-production validations, adherence to production specifications, and quality assurance checks for production deliverables.
Technical Skills and Competencies Required: •Bachelor’s degree required. •Three years of eDiscovery project management experience required. •At least five years of additional experience in Litigation Support or eDiscovery role, preferably for a major law firm with responsibilities across multiple offices. •Prior Litigation Paralegal experience is a plus. •eDiscovery Consulting ??Demonstrated understanding of all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. ?Demonstrated understanding of common IT architectures and applications used by Fortune 500 companies. ?Demonstrated ability to assess eDiscovery issues arising in administrative and litigation matters, and implement best practices and workflows to achieve case team and client objectives. ?Demonstrated ability to consult with case teams on best practices and methodologies for the review and analysis of evidence, including customized workflows to increase efficiency and minimize costs.
• eDiscovery Project Management ?Demonstrated ability to serve as primary liaison for eDiscovery and Litigation Support issues that may arise between legal teams, eDiscovery resources, technical staff, outside providers, and discovery consultants to ensure proper communications and adherance to eDiscovery project plans. ?Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage eDiscovery and Litigation Support projects in a proportional and cost-efficient manner using appropriate workflow and technology options. ?Demonstrated ability to employ Departmental protocols to ensure proper documentation of eDiscovery project plans, workflows, role and task assignments, cost estimates, time-tables and process improvements. ?Demonstrated ability to ensure standard procedures for eDiscovery and Litigation Support projects are consistently applied. ?Demonstrated ability to prepare cost estimates, budgets and guidelines for maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. ?Demonstrated ability to create key reports memorializing ESI collections, filtering, culling, processing, review and productions. ?Demonstrated ability to oversee and prepare eDiscovery data processing and production specifications for Littler Litigation Support Analysts and/or outside providers to meet legal requirements. ?Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects at once with attention to detail and accuracy.
•Litigation Support Technology ?Demonstrated expertise regarding kCura Relativity, including administrative capabilities, the Relativity Desktop Client, advanced analytics, Relativity Assisted Review workflows, managed review workflows, and production capabilities. ?Demonstrated expertise regarding search term construction, includng the ability to test, report and measure the effectiveness of search terms. ?Demonstrated expertise with traditional litigation support technology, including Case Notebook Transcripts (LiveNote), TrialDirector, CaseMap and TimeMap.
•Resource Management ?Demonstrated ability to promote and encourage legal teams to leverage internal and external resources through all phases of eDiscovery. ?Demonstrated ability to guide legal teams and clients on the selection of appropriate eDiscovery services and software solutions. ?Demonstrated ability to delegate eDiscovery and litigation support tasks to the appropriate personnel and/or outside eDiscovery service providers.
•Administrative ?Demonstrated ability to comply with the Firm’s Employee Security Policy, including ethical obligations to protect our clients’ confidential and sensitive information and the Firm’s proprietary and confidential business information. ?Demonstrated ability to complete project time entry contemporaneously and release time entries on a weekly basis. ?Demonstrated ability to maintain and complete time sheets pursuant to Firm policy. ?Demonstrated ability to attain expertise in litigation support technology and proactively use the most current technology to further teamwork, client service, and efficiency. ?Demonstrated ability to maintain the proper level of education about litigation support applications, and that personal knowledge remains current and comprehensive in area(s) of expertise. ?Demonstrated ability to participate and contribute to eDiscovery and litigation support peer groups. ?Excellent written and oral communication skills. ?Proven ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with attorneys, and cross-department personnel. ?Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects at once with attention to detail and accuracy. ?Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions. ?Independent judgment and discretion.
