General Description of Role:
Reporting directly to the Company’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel, the Commercial Transactions Counsel will focus primarily on SaaS customer deals and a range of technology partner deals, and will have a broad range of responsibilities as part of a small but fast-growing Legal team.
The successful attorney will:
Partner with Zuora’s Sales team and other relevant internal clients (e.g., Customer Success Management, Finance, Global Services, Security and Technical Support) to review, negotiate and draft outbound SaaS agreements for Zuora’s subscription management platform.
Support partner alliances and technology development programs and agreements.
Undertake various other projects as part of a small Legal team.
- Education and Experience
Exceptional academic credentials and a minimum of 9-12 years of relevant technology transactions experience, with a focus on drafting and negotiating complex customer and partner technology transactions; J.D. from a top law school and at least two years at a leading law firm are preferred.
Deep, successful experience partnering with and providing support to demanding Sales teams.
A combination of substantial SaaS experience, plus in-house experience at a public, global company and at a fast-growing, pre-IPO company, would be ideal.
Familiarity with international B2B data privacy issues is preferred.

Has meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
