Overview: The Director or Senior Director and Counsel – Business Affairs (“Counsel”) will primarily be responsible for business affairs matters for a dynamic entertainment company and will work closely with senior in-house counsel. The Counsel will also serve as the Company’s primary counsel for entertainment performer contracts, including negotiating deals with agents and actors and advising on matters related to SAG-AFTRA contracts.

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
Experience: The successful candidate will have a J.D. and at least 6+ years of relevant transactional legal experience, including foundational training in a leading New York law firm. The ideal candidate will have substantial intellectual property, entertainment, media and/or corporate experience focused on the creation, marketing and distribution of entertainment content. Candidates with significant corporate experience with a strong desire to transition to entertainment, media and technology matters will also be considered. Exposure to the entertainment and media industries is a plus, while knowledge and enthusiasm of the videogame industry is preferred.
