Provides counsel and guidance to all levels of the company, including on occasion executive management, in connection with numerous and diverse contracts and commercial transactions. Drafts and/or reviews and provides advice to business staff in connection with numerous and diverse contracts.
The collection of responsibilities for which this position is responsible requires the holder of the role to possess diverse subject matter expertise. Also requires the exercise of significant, independent judgment and decision making.
Provides advice and assistance to all levels of management, including executive level. Engages in developing a wide variety of contracts, including facility/building leases, and other legal documents. The position includes direct involvement and primary responsibility for the negotiation and drafting/review of assigned MNAO contracts, from the most simple to the most complex. Additionally, prepares other legal documents including those related to licensing and regulatory matters. Collaborates with Finance and Purchasing to manage the contract approval process.
Strong academic record, including Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
Eight plus years of relevant work experience as an Attorney in a law firm and/or in-house Legal Department (in-house experience highly desired)
State Bar of California qualified; California license to practice law or Registered In-House Counsel designation by State Bar of California.
