Our client, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (“PCORI”) has retained Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for an Associate General Counsel to be based in its Washington, DC corporate headquarters.
Organization: PCORI is a non-profit organization, authorized by Congress in 2010, that was established to fund comparative clinical effectiveness research (“CER”) that can help patients and those who care for them make better-informed decisions about their healthcare. Its mandate is to improve the quality and relevance of the evidence available and produce reliable, useful information that will help patients, family caregivers, clinicians, employers, insurers, policy makers and others make better-informed health and healthcare decisions. PCORI works with those healthcare stakeholders to identify critical research questions and answer them through comparative CER, focusing on outcomes important to patients. PCORI also disseminates the results in ways that members of the healthcare community will find useful.
Compensation: Competitive base salary and generous benefits commensurate with experience.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of legal experience. Training at a top tier law firm. Subject matter expertise in commercially-sponsored or federally or privately-funded clinical research, healthcare, health plan coverage, and/or health data and related federal regulatory framework is expected. Experience with drafting, reviewing and/or negotiating contracts is required, and knowledge of clinical trial agreements is highly desirable.
Location: Washington, DC
Relocation: Local candidates are preferred.
