IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. (“IDEXX” or “Company”) is seeking to fill the role of Senior Corporate Counsel-Commercial (“Counsel”), reporting to the Vice-President, Deputy General Counsel & Global Chief Commercial Counsel. The Counsel will focus on structuring, drafting, negotiating and implementing complex commercial transactions with customers, vendors, distributors and other third parties, acting as a valued business partner and working closely with IDEXX legal team colleagues to provide seamless legal support to clients.

Location: The Counsel will be located at Corporate Headquarters located in greater Portland, Maine on a state-of-the-art campus comparable to any campus of a Silicon Valley company.
Experience: The successful candidate will hold a J.D. from a top tier law school and 6+ years of commercial/corporate/transactional law experience, ideally gained from working both in-house and in private practice. The ideal candidate will be a smart, practical business advisor who has the ability to think creatively and is comfortable providing both legal and business counsel. He/she will have a solid understanding of basic commercial and corporate transactional law and have a track record of effectively drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements. He/she will have experience with IP, licensing, sales, antitrust, advertising/marketing, privacy, and export-import law. Experience working closely with clients within a matrixed, multinational, public company environment is highly preferred.
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
