Position is a based at DaVita’s Headquarters in Denver, Colorado
Mentoring, leadership and involvement with the broader JLD team of attorneys

Serve as legal regulatory counsel for healthcare transactions, with an emphasis on healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse laws and regulations.
Assist and collaborate with other DaVita regulatory attorneys, compliance teammates, and business clients in identifying and resolving legal/regulatory matters.
Advise on compliance with federal and state healthcare laws and regulations.
Monitor changes in relevant regulatory and reimbursement areas and provide education to clients and DaVita teammates on such changes.
Provide general healthcare advice on compliance, regulatory and physician relationship issues, including advice on the False Claims Act, Beneficiary Inducement, Stark, Anti-Kickback, and physician entities
Draft, review, and negotiate service agreements with healthcare providers
Provide counsel to the executive teams
Provide accurate updates and reporting on organizational risks to managers
Ability to handle legal and administrative work, help on management processes
Outside counsel management
Other duties as assigned
J.D. Degree with minimum 3 years legal experience in healthcare
Prior legal experience within healthcare field
State Bar Admission and good standing
Substantial knowledge and experience with healthcare M&A transactions
Strong research and analytical skills
Ability to manage several matters simultaneously in a fast-paced workplace environment.
Understanding and experience with relevant health care compliance issues (i.e., Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark, False Claims Act, HIPAA, practice management issues)
Strong communication skills, written and oral
